The short answer
Yes, you can join the trend for free, but not with your own body and outfit in the scene. Free routes either swap your face onto the original dancer or ask you to film the whole thing yourself. Rebuilding the scene around you from one photo takes a video model, and every tool that does that charges for it in some form.
Free ways to make a Window Dance video
| Option | Cost | What you get | Catch |
|---|---|---|---|
| CapCut template | Free | Your face on the template dancer | The body, outfit and moves are the original dancer's; templates get taken down |
| Film it yourself | Free | The real thing, your own window | Needs a friend outside at night, a lit window and several takes |
| Free credits on general AI video apps | Free trial | A short clip from a text or image prompt | No fixed Window Dance reference, so the camera, window and curtain rarely match the trend |
| Window Dance AI | $9.90 per video | The trend scene rebuilt with your face and outfit | Paid; you approve a preview before it renders |
Why a faithful AI version is not free
A 12-second 720p video model run costs real GPU time on every attempt. Sites that advertise "free" usually give a watermarked, low-resolution or face-only result and then ask you to upgrade. We would rather show the price up front.
- One video is $9.90, three are $19.90 and five are $29.90.
- One-time payment, no subscription, credits do not expire.
- No watermark on the MP4.
- If a render fails, the credit comes back automatically.
What you can check before paying
- Watch the full example next to the TikTok original on the examples page.
- Read the photo tips so your first try works.
- After you start, approve an appearance preview of you in the window. You get up to 3 tries, and the video only renders once you approve one.
The cheapest way to a good result is a good photo: one adult, face forward, waist up or full body, even light, no beauty filter.
FAQ
Is Window Dance AI free?
No sign-up is needed. Each video costs $9.90, or less in packs of three or five. Free alternatives are the CapCut template (face swap only) or filming the trend yourself.
Is there a free trial?
There is no free render. Instead you approve a preview of yourself in the window before the video is generated, and failed renders return the credit automatically.
Do free Window Dance generators add a watermark?
Many free tiers do. Videos from Window Dance AI have no watermark.
Is the CapCut Window Dance template free?
Usually, yes. It swaps your face onto the original dancer, so the body, clothes and moves stay the same as everyone else.
