How the template works
A CapCut template is a finished video with a slot for your photo. CapCut detects the face in your photo and swaps it into the dancer. The building, the room, the body, the moves and the timing never change.
- Find a Window Dance post on TikTok that shows the CapCut link above the username.
- Tap it, then Use template in CapCut.
- Select your photo and wait for processing.
- Export and post.
Common template problems
| Problem | Why it happens | What to try |
|---|---|---|
| No template link on the post | Templates are not shown in every country or app version | Search "window dance" in CapCut, or use the AI route |
| "Template unavailable" | Templates get removed or region locked | Try another post, or make it from a photo instead |
| Face looks pasted on | Only the face is swapped onto a stranger | Use a photo with similar lighting, or generate a full scene |
| Pet photo fails | Face swap templates expect a human face | Use one clear photo of an adult; pets are not supported here yet |
Is the Window Dance CapCut template free?
Many templates can be used for free, but some versions use Pro effects or ask you to watch an ad or upgrade before export. Free exports may carry a CapCut ending card. Which one you get depends on the creator and your region, so check the export screen before you spend time on edits.
Adding or changing the music
Templates bring their own audio. If you want the trend sound on TikTok, post the video and pick the sound in the app instead of baking it in, so your post is listed under the sound. For anything commercial, use music you have the rights to.
Make the Window Dance without CapCut
The generator replaces the performer in a fixed Window Dance reference video, using your photo and an appearance preview. The reference guides the original scene, dance, camera and timing. No editing app is needed.

FAQ
Is there an official Window Dance CapCut template?
The trend runs on community templates posted in CapCut. There are several versions, and they can be removed at any time. Window Dance AI is an independent tool and is not affiliated with CapCut.
Why can I not find the Window Dance template in CapCut?
Templates are not available in every region or app version, and popular ones get taken down. Try opening it from a TikTok post, or skip CapCut and generate the video from a photo.
Can I use the Window Dance template with my dog?
Face swap templates are built for human faces, so pets usually fail. This release of Window Dance AI supports one adult per video.
